The 1000 Reasons to Celebrate Edition

Please forgive this interstitial edition of my every-other-month newsletter, but I have really exciting news to share!

DERELICT was released into the world a little over a week ago to steady, modest sales. Then something spectacular happened: On Saturday, the sales started burning up the Amazon sales charts and kept coming. By this morning, the book had sold more than 1000 copies in a single weekend.

At one point, the book ranked in the top 300 in sales for all books on Amazon. All books. On the top seller's page, I shared space with the likes of George RR Martin and Ray Bradbury. That's pretty epic.

I honestly couldn't believe it was happening. This wasn't anything I had planned for and I'm not sure how/why the book took off this way. But I am so very grateful to all of you who bought it, talked about it, put it on your wishlists, and supported me during this writing journey. You have made this a release week I will never forget.

The timing could not have been more perfect. Today is my 9th anniversary of blogging at Once in a Blue Muse and my 1000th blogpost!
