Tomorrow is publication day!
Tomorrow, TIME AND TITHE arrives. And like an actor standing in the wings, I am having pre-opening jitters in a big way.
I don't think it matters how many books you write, how many you publish: if you are a writer, you stress. For the most part, you stress about things that are totally out of your control, but it comes down to the existential fear of 'will anyone like this.'
I wrote a blog post today about that fear, and how it's likely an inevitable part of the creative process. You can read it here.
Please help make TIME AND TITHE's release a success!
Would you consider forwarding this newsletter to readers in your life? If you are active on social media (Facebook, twitter, gplus, etc), please spread the word with a link to my main website: http://www.ljcohen.net
- release week sales are important
With even a small number of sales clustered around TIME AND TITHE's release week, the book will be noticed and featured by Amazon and other sales venues.
If this is a book you think you might enjoy and are planning on purchasing it, would you consider pre-ordering it today, or ordering it in its release week (February 10 -17)?
Even if you aren't planning on purchasing the book, simply putting it on your wishlist can give it a visibility boost. Would you be willing to place TIME AND TITHE on your Amazon (or preferred retailer's) wishlist?

Lydia's victory over the Fae came with a bitter price - her baby sister, Taylor, grew up without her, aging more than a decade in the mere weeks that have passed in Faerie. When Aeon's madness threatens both realms, the sisters, now nearly strangers to one another, are forced to fight the powerful Fae who was once friend to each of them.
Upcoming Appearances
I'll be on panels/readings at Boston's own Boskone this weekend (Feb. 13 - 15th), where I'll be debuting TIME AND TITHE as well as displaying my ceramics at the art show.
My upcoming reading/signing at Newtonville Books is scheduled for March 10th at 7 pm. Unless we have a blizzard. . . Which, judging by the weather over the past few weeks feels like a good bet!
