Bluemusings: Birthday edition

LITANY update

The manuscript has been revised for its umpteenth time (oh, the life of a writer) and is now with my intrepid editor for its final workout.

I am working with the fabulous Chris Howard on an idea for him to run with for cover art.

And the plan is to publish it in time for a book release party this February at Boskone.

Stay tuned! Do let me know if you'd like an e-ARC to review. They will probably be ready before the end of the year.

Happy Birthday to me!
Embracing my inner crone today

As I've gotten older, I've eschewed things in favor of experiences for birthdays and other gift-giving holidays. Today, my plan is to spend time in the garden and can the 10+ quarts of tomato sauce we cooked down yesterday. This is truly a gift for future-me.

What traditions do you enjoy on your birthday? I will definitely treat myself to something chocolate to celebrate later.

If you are willing and have read and enjoyed any of my books, please consider the gift of leaving even a brief review where you purchased it. Or recommending my work to a friend.

Many thanks!

Odds and Ends

As of a few months ago, I've mostly left facebook and feel a lot more mental and creative space because of it. You can still find me on IG where I mostly post photos of our farm/garden, dogs, and pottery.

I hit the 10K mark on the sequel to Litany this morning. My goal is to harness September's back to school energy to get this draft written.

This weekend, I'll be at Albacon for the first time. It's a small SF/F related con in Albany, NY and the big draw for me is to spend time with one of my dear writer friends who lives there. (Waves to M.M.)

And, if you like short stories, a collection one of mine is in is currenly on sale at Amazon for $0.99. And the series of all 3 are on sale for $2.99

Of Gods and Globes volumes 1, 2, and 3 are a collection of both fantasy and science fiction stories about cosmic influences. My story PERPETUAL SILENCE is in volume 1. And if you look at the authors, I'm in some solid company.
